Eddyfi Inaugurates US Office in Texas

Québec City, Canada, July 28, 2014 — Eddyfi inaugurated the opening of its new US facility in Texas last week and the creation of Eddyfi Corp, a new and fully-owned subsidiary of Eddyfi NDT, Inc.

The new 3000 sq. ft facility is located in Deer Park, near Houston, Texas, and offers sales, application development and support, as well as product services. The company’s modern and spacious facility is equipped with an applications laboratory, a meeting/training room, a calibration and repair laboratory, and a tubing probe storage area.

“Our US investment and expansion demonstrates Eddyfi’s commitment to the world’s largest NDT market. After 4.5 years of operation, now over 100 employees, and a significant US customer base, Eddyfi simply had to expand south of the Canadian border. This new base will allow us to attract and hire the best industry experts. In addition, this new entity allows Eddyfi to transact as a US company, and offer calibration services and product delivery without cross-border logistics and customs issues,” said Martin Thériault, President and CEO of Eddyfi.

Eddyfi began as a supplier of surface inspection ECA technologies to the power generation market, but expanded about three years ago into the oil & gas market. The company has rapidly penetrated the market and has identified several technological opportunities that will fuel its organic growth. Beyond its central location, ease and competitive cost of doing business, Eddyfi chose the great state of Texas and Deer Park for its new facility to be at the heart of the oil & gas industry.
