The Eddyfi Technology Engineering Teams are tackling some of the most interesting problems in NDT to provide the highest performance inspection technologies in the world. These products help our customers enhance productivity, save lives, and protect the environment.

We are looking for a software engineer to join the Teletest Product Development Team based in the Cambridge area. Teletest is exciting technology that uses long range ultrasonics to identify hidden corrosion in pipelines and other structures. The new engineer, who will join a small multinational team which is continually developing desktop software for the Teletest technology, will also have the opportunity to work with HQ in Canada. This position is a rare opportunity to work across the whole Software Development Lifecycle with lots of potential to learn, stretch your skills and be creative.

The Project Will Involve

  • Following modern best practices of software development
  • Creative design leading to an exciting user experience
  • Coding in C# .Net
  • Development of WPF user interfaces
  • Design, implementation and optimisation of numerical algorithms, including signal processing
  • Creating drivers for instrumentation control over TCP/IP
  • Writing robust and automated test code

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience writing C# .NET. C/C++ experience is desirable
  • Experience of building user interfaces with WPF following the MVVM pattern
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science with experience of developing commercial or scientific software
  • Code and project management, preferably using JIRA and SVN
  • Knowledge of signal processing is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with Python would also be an advantage
