I-Flex™ probes are specifically designed to fit complex geometries, which makes them perfect for one-pass examinations of pipes, nozzles, turbine blades, wheels, and any other smooth, curved surface.
They perform in a wide range of applications that were previously challenging for ECA technology. I-Flex probes are available in three sizes (small, medium, large) and their unique design offers three built-in topologies.
Universal I-Flex Manual Pipe Scanner
The universal I-Flex manual pipe scanner is versatile and developed specifically to make it easier for operators to deploy the Eddyfi® I-Flex probes on tubes and pipes. It is the only scanner on the market that can accommodate the entire I-Flex probe line for the surface inspection of tubes and pipes with outer diameters ranging between 42–170 mm (1.25–6.00 in NPS).
The total flexibility of I-Flex allows it to adapt to tight radius and curved surfaces. I-Flex probes are specifically designed to adapt to complex geometries, which makes them perfect for one-pass examinations of pipes, nozzles, turbine blades, wheels, and any other smooth, curved surface.
I-Flex probes are equipped with three built-in, adaptorless topologies. Topologies are the combination of how the coils are organized inside a probe and how they are activated. The multiple built-in topologies allow addressing various types of flaws.
I-Flex use real pancake coils, not PCB equivalents, which give them good sensitivity to subsurface defects and excellent signal quality. It also offers better penetration than other flexible ECA probes on the market.
