Job Description

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for driving and supporting sales actions through in field activities such as product demonstrations, attendance at trade shows and other company events, giving lectures, webinars, training courses, deploying go-to-market plans, and influencing asset owners. The candidate will be assigned to selected or multiple portfolios of technologies and product lines.

This individual must be a proactive, team-oriented salesperson, with a solid technical background, market and applications knowledge, with strong communication and presentation skills.

You will be results-oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operate on a high compliance level and occasionally with an extreme sense of urgency. You will have excellent work ethics and possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote, and in-field customer support for their applications and the integration of generic and special products as well as new products and applications – multi technologies skills are encouraged.
  • Assists the sales function through in-field activities as product demonstrations, attendance to trade shows and other company events, give lectures, webinars and training courses as well as influencing assets owners.
  • Support the sales team during customer meetings to understand their needs and negotiate the specifications.
  • Support the sales team to build coherent commercial offers.
  • Interacts very regularly with sales managers on opportunities with a specific focus on first product placement to new accounts
  • Executes practically the BU strategy through the respective marketing plans and in-field activities
  • Contributes practically to the development of marketing tools to assist the sales organisation
  • Provides customers and market feedback to product line managers and other stakeholders
  • Completes the CRM, provide visit reports and provide support in the quotation process. Forecast remains under Sales Manager responsibility.
  • Takes strong ownership for promoting the Eddyfi culture, the portfolio of products and associated services through a value proposition
  • Transmits and makes live the company culture and values towards the customers

Your background :

  • We are seeking a candidate with strong experience (2 years in a similar position would be ideal), and who has a strong background in Engineering, complemented by a background in sales.
  • You are fluent in English, but also in French. You are able to speak in another language (nice to have, not essential).
  • You are able to take part in travels abroad (minimum 50% of time expected)
