Product Compliance Specialist

Position Overview

Within the group Eddyfi Technologies, you have the responsibility to participate closely with the department of engineering throughout the product development process to ensure that the products developed meet the necessary compliance requirements for the target markets and countries. In addition, you have the responsibility to keep up to date all the products certification and advise on the best methods to follow to be a leader in the field on our products.

Responsabilities

• Ensuring the products portfolio management regarding the respect of compliance and certifications.
• Manage and coordinate the product files certification.
• Increase the efficiency regarding the product certification files management.
• Make the standard overview when a new project begin.
• Propose certification schemes meeting the compliance of various targeted international markets.
• Support the whole engineering and operations teams to ensure the product comply in respect of the products certification and standard during all product lifecycles.
• Promote the importance of product compliance to meet the expectations of interested parties.
• Ensure that engineering and operations have the minimum required knowledge to develop and maintain products certifications.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline;
• 5-7 years of experience in product compliance;
• Knowledge of electronic and electromechanical product certification ( Low voltage directive , EMC compatibility, machine directive, Robotic standard);
• Knowledge of measurement instrument standard;
• Knowledge of CE, RoHS, REACH certification;
• Knowledge of CSA, UL and other international marking (A considerable asset);
• Knowledge of ATEX / ICEx (an asset);
• Knowledge of environmental testing (an asset);
• Knowledge in non-destructive testing (NDT) using eddy current or ultrasound (an asset);
• English and French language (be able to animate technical discussions in both language).
