Do you want to contribute to the development of the most advanced inspection solutions in non-destructive testing? Do you want to participate, among other things, in the creation of high-value industrial systems and contribute to their deployment? Are you passionate and do you want to use your expertise in product design and thus actively participate in the different stages of these projects? Eddyfi is looking for an Application Expert in the research and development department to contribute to the success of ongoing projects.

In this role you will have to:

  • Be responsible for custom product orders by ensuring the management of costs, delivery times and techniques in accordance with the processes and procedures of the quality system.
  • Act as a reference for the sales team by recommending standard products or preparing quotes for custom products.
  • Train internal and external stakeholders and provide them with support regarding the applications and products under the responsibility of the team.
  • Participate in development projects by executing test plans and analyzing data.
  • In collaboration with the production methods team, participate in improvement projects for existing products.
  • Support the marketing team and the product manager for the promotion of existing products and the marketing of new products.
  • Travel occasionally to support our customers and better understand their needs.

As an Application Expert, you will actively participate in sales support by answering technical questions and suggesting standard and custom products. You will put your sense of analysis and your relational skills to good use in order to take charge of tailor-made orders; from submission to delivery. You will also act as a specialist for customer support and training.

The sought profile:

  • You have a college degree in physical, electrical, materials engineering or another related discipline.
  • You have two to four years of relevant experience.
  • You are bilingual (English and French).
  • You have proven experience in customer relations (training, support, negotiation).
  • You have good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • You have experience in project management (an asset).
  • You have knowledge of eddy currents and the non-destructive testing market (an asset).
  • You are available to travel internationally on occasion.
  • You are rigorous and concerned about a job well done.
