This #InuktunInTheWild sighting is courtesy of Utilities Support Engineering (USE) located in Essex Country, England. We received video footage of their OnSpec Custom Microtrac™ based pipe inspection crawler performing tests in highly pressurized water.

This video is no longer available, but don't worry! We've got you covered with other great #InuktunInTheWild sightings on our blog!

The OnSpec vehicle resembling an Inuktun Versatrax 300™ long range crawler was adapted to operate in environments up to 16 bar or 230 PSI for under pressure mains inspections. USE, a pipeline isolation services company, offers line stopping, pressure valve installation, encapsulation collar fitting, pipe freezing and pressure main inspection to the water utility industry. They use pipe inspection crawlers developed by Eddyfi Technologies in their daily operations.

In the test footage provided, USE performs a search and identify exercise where they successfully recover a small propeller operated submersible that had become lodged several hundred feet inside a high pressure (HP) pipe system. The robotic crawler provides the clear video inside a dark, medium diameter pipeline and the onboard Spectrum 45™ inspection camera pans and tilts for an encompassing field of view.

Raising the bar with an OnSpec Custom Solution, Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular (IM3™) technology performs remote visual inspection (RVI) and non-destructive testing (NDT) in the most volatile environments.
