This #InuktunInTheWild sighting is courtesy of Offshore who recently showcased Great Yarmouth-based oilfield and renewables service company ATAM Group and their recent trials with the Inuktun MaggHD™ miniature magnetic crawler. ATAM Group tested the performance of the MaggHD™ on a full-size turbine training tower and along test blades at the facilities of ORE Catapult’s facility in Northumberland.

See article here.

The MaggHD™ is a small but powerful vehicle equipped with rare earth magnets that keep the crawler securely attached to the tower, with the tracks positioned to ensure the best possible traction. This miniature magnetic crawler offers a unique solution for High Definition (full 1080p HD) remote visual inspection (RVI) across a broad range of applications. The powerful Microtrac™ based system includes 100 metres (330 feet) of tether and a portable control system with real time recording of live video, still images and sensor data. Its durable construction and ease of use make it perfect for examining a wide range of steel structures. Inspection on wind turbines, like this one, are not uncommon to the MaggHD™.

ATAM Group has been busy! The company is expanding their presence with plans of opening new offices and launching three new product lines for pipe cleanliness, maintenance and inspection backed by Inuktun’s Multi-Mission Modular (IM3™) technology. This includes their OnSpec custom Minitrac™ based robotic crawler, pictured below with other Inuktun miniature magnetic crawlers. Check out this #InuktunInTheWild sighting that featured the magnetic vehicle integrated with a FlexiClean tool.

Our remote inspection systems can carry more than just a camera and lights. We have built crawlers to deliver ultrasonic measurement, eddy current, GPR, sonar, 3D laser scanners, high pressure water jets, cleaning brushes and much more.
