The IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) nature of our equipment lends itself perfectly to our OEM clients. The VideoRay UROV enabled with the Inuktun manipulator is a great example of that.

The IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) nature of our equipment lends itself perfectly to our OEM clients. The VideoRay UROV enabled with Inuktun’s manipulator is a great example of that.

VideoRay and Inuktun go way back. In fact, VideoRay came to fruition with the purchase of Inuktun’s Scallop technology in 2001. The company took the opportunity to employ its expertise in the underwater ROV business and further develop the system to what it is today.

The Inuktun manipulator is the ideal pairing with this Inuktun original. According to VideoRay, the search and rescue, military and law enforcement sectors have generated the most demand for the Inuktun manipulator. Seen integrated during a search and rescue training session, the VideoRay with Inuktun manipulator was recently spotted being deployed by the Muskegon County Sheriff Team on social media here. No stranger to ROV integration, the Inuktun manipulator has been utilized on the Seatronics’ Predator Elite ROV system as well. Similar search and retrieval trials were successfully performed by the Seatronics team who exclaimed, “It was very successful.”

Originally designed as a deep-sea articulating gripper with an array of interchangeable jaw sets, the two-function manipulator is capable of surprisingly high closing forces and continuous rotation capability making it easy to position jaws for almost any remote handling operation. See it in action here!

The Inuktun manipulator is just one example of how easily our proven components integrate with your remote inspection, tooling and handling requirements. How can our IM3™ technology help transform your future? Contact us to find out now.
